Norman Parkinson at the M-Shed, Bristol

Yesterday (13/2/12) Beth and I took a trip to Bristol so that we could see the Norman Parkinson fashion photography exhibiton. 

Unfortunately the M-Shed is closed on mondays, which we didn’t realise, so we didn’t get to go and see the exhibition! It was a shame , and was massively annoying!! I was really looking forward to seeing the exhibition as I love his work. My current photography project is fashion photography, inspired by the likes of Parkinson, Richard Avedon and Patrick Demarchelier. It would have been really beneficial for me to see some of Parkinson’s work exhibited but oh well!

My housemates and I are planning to go along to the M-Shed on March 24th for the vintage weekend, where you’re encouraged to dress up so we’re going to go 1950s for the day! At least then I will get to see the Norman Parkinson exhibition, its a shame it’ll be after my project deadline though!!!
